      • Princeton Piggyback Forklifts Verses LoadmacWhen comparing Loadmac vs. Princeton Piggyback Forklifts, the Loadmac 855 emerges as a superior choice for businesses seeking efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. While Princeton’s piggyback models, notably the PB55.3x, have carved a niche as a reliable alternative to Moffett forklifts, they often fall short in key areas. The Loadmac 855’s lighter weight enhances payload capacity without compromising durability, allowing for reduced fuel costs and better overall performance. The standard extra reach pantograph feature on the Loadmac 855 simplifies loading and unloading, making it a valuable asset for businesses that prioritize efficiency. In contrast, Princeton’s piggyback forklifts lack this standard feature, requiring additional options that can increase costs. Furthermore, the Loadmac 855’s 4-way steering enhances maneuverability on tight job sites, a critical advantage for operators in the construction and logistics sectors. Companies switching from Moffett to Loadmac have reported significant improvements, including up to 30% faster unloading times and enhanced safety protocols. For those in the market for a truck-mounted forklift, the Loadmac 855 stands out as the best option, outpacing both Moffett and Princeton in fuel efficiency, resale value, and support. Explore the unparalleled benefits of Loadmac forklifts for your operation today.

Moffett M55: A Reliable Truck-Mounted Forklift

The Moffett M55, introduced in 2006, is a robust and efficient truck-mounted forklift that has become a staple in the industry. As the successor to the M5500, the M55 brought significant improvements, establishing itself as a trusted choice for businesses requiring reliable and versatile equipment. This model represents a new body style, featuring major upgrades in both design and functionality.

Enhanced Design and Functionality

The Moffett was engineered with durability and performance in mind. One of the standout upgrades was the inclusion of heavier counterweights integrated into the frame, adding stability during operation. This forklift replaced steel body panels with fiberglass panels on the back door and hood, reducing wear and improving longevity. Additionally, the hydraulic system received substantial improvements, enhancing the forklift’s operational efficiency.

Powered by a dependable Kubota engine, the Moffett M55 was manufactured between 2006 and 2013, with its design evolving into a new model designation by 2015. The forklift’s combination of power and precision made it a preferred choice for various industries.

Moffett M55 Specs: Weight, Capacity & Steering Options

The standard M55 weighs approximately 6,200 pounds, about 500 pounds heavier than its predecessor. It boasts an impressive lifting capacity of 5,500 pounds, making it suitable for demanding tasks. The forklift is available in two configurations: the standard 2-way steering and the optional 4-way steer configuration, which provides enhanced maneuverability in tight spaces.

The 4-way model, initially designated as the M55 4W, later evolved into the Moffett M55.4. An additional variant, the Moffett M55P, features a pantograph mechanism that extends the forklift’s reach, enabling it to unload from one side of a truck or trailer. This model is also available in a 4-way configuration, designated as the Moffett M55.4P.

The Popularity of the Moffett M55

Today, it is one of the most widely used truck-mounted forklifts in the market. Its versatility and reliability have earned it a solid reputation, making it a go-to choice for many industries. Businesses that require efficient material handling solutions often turn to the M55 for its proven performance and adaptability.

Comparing the Moffett M55 to the Loadmac 855 Super Reach

While the Moffett M55P offers exceptional capabilities, the Loadmac 855 2-Way Super Reach provides a compelling alternative. Weighing 6,880 pounds, the Loadmac 855 is 810 pounds lighter than the Moffett M55P. Furthermore, the Loadmac 855 Super Reach Multi-Directional 4-Way can weigh up to 2,000 pounds less than the Moffett M55.4P, offering a lighter option without compromising functionality.

Why Choose the Loadmac 855 over A Moffett?

The Loadmac 855 series stands out as the superior choice for businesses seeking a lighter, more efficient solution. Its reduced weight translates to lower transportation costs and easier maneuverability, especially in tight spaces. The advanced design of the Loadmac 855 ensures it can handle demanding tasks while maintaining optimal performance and reliability.

While the Moffett M55 has long been a popular option, the Loadmac 855 provides modern features and enhanced efficiency, making it the better choice for those looking to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness. Its innovative design and versatility firmly position the Loadmac 855 as the leading truck-mounted forklift on the market today.
